Although this will add weight, I was thinking that the benefit in cleaner wheels (Being able to use ceramic pads) is a good trade off.... Any thoughts out there? It appeared to be "Close" to our O.E. rotors but I as of the moment I have not gotten around to actually taking a rotor off of my car and measured or compared them to say yes or no as to compatibility. This evening when I saw this topic, it renewed my interest. I went into the Advance site and it appears this part number is no longer "Available" so I went to a cross reference chart for Bendix and found the number noted as "Obsolete". I dug a little further and wound up on the Raybestos site where I found a cross over number of 7993R With that information, I was able to come up with a few vehicles that this rear rotor is intended to fit. Chrysler Daytona 1989-1993 The specifications for these applications are as follows: Part Number: 7993R I then went to the NAPA website and looked up a 1992 Chrysler Lebaron with the 3.0 V6 and "Vented Rear Rotors" (NOT the Solid Rotors). These are the numbers for it: 1992 Chrysler Lebaron w/vented rotors Vane Configuration Reduces Temperatures & Improves Performance. The Non-Directional Finish On NAPA Premium Rotors Reduces Noise & Braking Roughness. Type K - Rotor Only. Wheel Studs Are Pressed Into The Hub Only. The Rotor Is A Loose Fit On The Hub & Is Retained By Either Machine Screws Or The Wheel Nuts. UNSPSC 25171715 If someone out there has the time and or inclination to further research the accurateness of this research, please be kind enough to post the results as it may be a benefit to us all. I am taking the cast ones off my car today & having them drilled & slotted for a better look and will continue to use the stock ones until one cracks or wears out. Just glad ALRTG was able to come up with a part number to try. Make sure when you order them to use the NAPA number only as the other number is for a rotor 1/4 inch larger in diameter. If anyone decides to not use NAPA, most likely any good auto parts store will be able to cross this number to a different brand. This is a HUGE WIN for EVERYONE!!!!!!!! Hence my little story to Rich..... I have 4000 sets of OEM rotor 50 Canadian dollars each . I am glad that the information I gathered proved to be of some use to those of us out there that are in the market for an alternative rear rotor. Having just returned from a week's vacation, this is great news. I had deliberately left the laptop home and since my 15 year old cell phone only makes and gets phone calls, I was "off the grid" as well. FYI, The Prowler turned 52K today on the way home from South Carolina. The prowler has specific rear rotors. they are still available to purchase about 400 a side.
not suppose to use ceramic pads.
The only person that has duplicated a rotor is Bill the Parts guy.
They are your every day steel rotor that can be turned if desired. You can use ceramic pads on these. (where as originals should not be turned)
These are cheaper about 240 each?
There are no other off the shelf rotors that fit the prowler as of yet.

At least with the cast rotors that he has, you will be able to use ceramic pads on the rear alrtg A couple of years ago I was curious what existing applications might have compatible Rear Brake Rotors that may work on our cars AND be able to be resurfaced if needed, available, and more cost effective.

GaryE Chrysler has reduced the price of the rear rotors to less than $300 each. Don't remember the exact amount. The big issue is that Chrysler is going to eliminate stocking most of their Prowler spare parts very soon. The rear brake rotor is one item they will no longer stock. Vented / Solid: Ventedphil2237 I have picked up the rotors as there are 2 possibilities with these part numbers. Its been in the upper 90s here and this old Chicago Boy does not take the heat well. As soon as it cools down a little , I will pull one of my rotors & match them up. They DO LOOK THE SAME AS THE PROWLER ONES. Both rotors are almost identical with one being a 1/4 larger. I guess my two spare OEM rotors are now worth a lot less than I paid for them. 401KAT So I buy 2 kats....come onto this forum a year ago ...buy doing that I now know how to save over 2k in rear rotors(both cars) if I need them.....and YOU STILL HAVE PEOPLE WHO WONDER WHY I CONTRIBUTE MONEY TO A FORUM THAT I CAN BROWSE FOR FREE.......PPPPPPPLEASE SPARE ME......Good job guys.....luv it.....jim phil2237 SORRY ABOUT THAT ED ! ed monahan Nothing to be sorry about. Just by bolt pattern they won't fit.
